October was another busy month for the Manorview Foundation, with our teams and community partners continuing to make a positive difference across our local communities.
From supporting people experiencing homelessness and providing essential items to families in need, to creating opportunities for young people and students, our community efforts reached far and wide.

874 Acts of Kindness
An estimated 874 acts of kindness were carried out throughout October, reflecting the ongoing commitment to supporting those who need it most.
217 Visits to Community Sessions
Our community sessions continued to provide valuable opportunities for connection, support and engagement..
Supporting Those in Need
300 sandwiches provided in support of Help the Homeless.
150 hot snacks and snack bags distributed to help support people experiencing homelessness.
110 poverty hygiene bags issued to families in need – our biggest monthly delivery to date.
37 blankets and winter coats provided to help keep people experiencing homelessness warm as the colder months approach.
1 kitchen starter pack provided to someone recently rehoused, helping them get settled into their new home.
Creating Opportunities for Young People
We continued to support young people through positive experiences, new opportunities and valuable learning sessions.
25 children from our youth group enjoyed a trip to Adventure Planet during the October holidays.
10 students took part in a hospitality taster session with Grow.
10 children from our Castlemilk youth group enjoyed a hospitality taster session.
10 students from St Ambrose Academy took part in a hospitality taster session.
Supporting Future Pathways
We also continued our commitment to helping young people build confidence and explore their future opportunities through 4 MCR Pathways mentoring sessions.
