Impact Report: April 2026
As we move further into spring, we’re proud to reflect on another meaningful month of support, connection and community impact through the Manorview Foundation. April was filled with opportunities to bring people together, provide practical help, and create memorable experiences for families and young people across our communities. Across all of our projects and initiatives, we recorded an incredible 446 Acts of Kindness throughout April.
Supporting the Coatbridge Community
Our weekly community sessions in Coatbridge continued to make a positive difference, with 192 visits throughout April. These sessions provide a welcoming and supportive space for local families, children and young people to connect, access support and enjoy activities together.
We were also delighted to offer two fantastic day trips for our Coatbridge Youth and Toddler Community members. Thanks to Cash4Kids, 50 members enjoyed an exciting trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park, while a further 30 members visited the Glasgow Science Centre for a fun and educational day out. Each member also received a tasty lunch pack, helping make the days even more special for everyone involved.
Essential Hygiene Boxes
During April, we supported 60 families with hygiene boxes containing everyday essentials. These practical items can make a real difference to households facing financial pressures, and we’re proud to continue offering this support where it’s needed most.
Employment Tasters & Mentoring
We welcomed 10 young people to The Busby Hotel for a hospitality employment taster session, giving them an insight into career opportunities within the industry. Experiences like this help build confidence, introduce new career pathways, and provide valuable hands-on learning in a real working environment.
We also completed 4 mentoring sessions through MCR Pathways in local high schools, continuing to support young people with guidance, encouragement and future planning.
Helping the Homeless
This month, we joined Help the Homeless on their street walk to support those in need, helping provide hot food, warm clothing and care to people experiencing homelessness. In April, we distributed 100 hand warmers and snacks as part of this outreach.
