Impact Report: May 2026

May was another meaningful month for the Manorview Foundation as we continued supporting local individuals, families, and community groups through a variety of initiatives across Scotland. In May, we delivered 470 acts of kindness, from community sessions and mentoring to meals and meaningful experiences. Thanks to the kindness of our teams, partners, and supporters, we were able to continue making a positive difference across our local communities.

Supporting Our Communities

Throughout the month, we saw around 126 visits to our weekly community sessions in Coatbridge, providing a welcoming and supportive space for local people to connect, access support, and enjoy time together.

We also supported 60 families with hygiene boxes containing essential everyday items, helping ease some of the pressures many families continue to face.

Helping the Homeless in Glasgow

One particularly impactful evening saw our Foundation Leader, Susan, join the incredible Help the Homeless group in Glasgow, helping distribute 200 pieces of fresh fruit alongside food and support to people experiencing homelessness.

The outreach provided not only essential supplies, but also compassion, conversation, and connection for those most in need.

Feeding Children During the Bank Holiday Weekend

Thanks to a fantastic partnership with Johnstone Burgh Football Club, we were able to provide 50 children attending the free Keanie Park Bank Holiday football camp with a hot lunch during a sunny day of activities and fun. The meals were very well received after a busy day on the pitches, and it was wonderful to support an initiative giving local children a safe and active space during the school holidays.

Creating Special Manorview Moments

We welcomed 20 ladies from Kirkshaws Women’s Group to The Busby Hotel for a special evening together. The group have built an amazing support network for one another, and it was a pleasure to treat them to a well-deserved night out.

Inspiring Future Hospitality Careers

At Bowfield Hotel & Spa, 10 young people from Kirkintilloch enjoyed a hospitality taster day, learning more about careers within the industry and how they can thrive in hospitality, regardless of academic background.

We also completed 4 mentoring sessions through MCR Pathways in local high schools, continuing to support young people with guidance, encouragement and future planning.
