Impact Report: August 2026
August was another fantastic month for the Manorview Foundation as we continued supporting individuals, families and communities through a range of initiatives across Scotland. Thanks to the generosity of our teams, partners and supporters, we delivered an estimated 798 acts of kindness, providing practical support, creating memorable experiences and helping bring communities together.
Making a Difference Locally
Our weekly community sessions in Coatbridge continued to provide a welcoming and supportive space for local people to connect, access support and spend time together. Throughout August, we welcomed an estimated 187 visits, highlighting the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces where people feel valued and supported.
We also supported 60 families with hygiene boxes, providing essential everyday items and helping to ease some of the financial pressures faced by households in our communities.
A Helping Hand When It’s Needed Most
Our support for people experiencing homelessness in Glasgow continued throughout August. Working alongside our partners, we provided 200 sandwiches, offering a simple but meaningful source of nourishment to those who need it most.
Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and we’re proud to continue supporting those facing difficult circumstances in our communities.
Bringing Communities Together
Community connection remained at the heart of our work this month. We were delighted to welcome 50 people to a dinner at Bowfield, supporting the Johnstone Burgh Community Food Project.
Opportunities to come together over a meal help strengthen connections, reduce social isolation and create a sense of belonging within our communities.
Inspiring New Experiences
Our support extended to adults and young people through opportunities to learn, develop and explore new interests.
Six adults from our Art Group enjoyed a trip to the Science Centre, providing an opportunity to experience something different, learn together and enjoy a day out in a supportive environment.
We also continued our work supporting young people through three mentoring sessions with MCR Pathways, helping young people develop confidence, explore their potential and build positive relationships.
Opening Doors to Opportunity
We were pleased to provide two work placements with Springboard UK, creating opportunities for individuals to gain valuable experience, develop new skills and take positive steps towards employment.
Supporting people into work and helping them build confidence and experience is an important part of creating stronger, more resilient communities.
Creating Experiences for Young People
August brought plenty of opportunities for our Hub members to enjoy new experiences and make lasting memories.
40 Hub members enjoyed a trip to M&D’s Theme Park, while a further 50 Hub members visited Clyde Valley Farm Park. These experiences give young people the opportunity to have fun, build confidence, strengthen friendships and enjoy days out that they may not otherwise have access to.
We were also delighted to support 200 children at the Parent Action for Safe Play Gala Day, providing sweet treats and juice and helping families enjoy a fun-filled community event.
798 Acts of Kindness
From providing food and essential items to creating memorable days out, supporting community events, developing young people and creating opportunities, every act of kindness has the potential to make a lasting difference.
This month, our work resulted in an estimated 798 acts of kindness across our communities.
We’re incredibly proud of everything our teams, partners and supporters have helped make possible throughout August. Thank you to everyone who continues to give their time, energy and support to the Manorview Foundation.
Together, we’re helping to build stronger, kinder and more connected communities.
