Impact Report: February 2026
Our team’s work continued in February as we looked to find more ways to reach and support people experiencing hardship and poverty. Working closely in some of Scotland’s deprived communities, we engaged in free community sessions, organised trips for families and more. Find out what we were up to in February…
A BIG MOMENT FOR A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY
Through our Manorview Moments programme, we organise special events and days out for groups and individuals. On this occasion, we were delighted to organise a very special 50th birthday treat for our friend Graeme, who has been attending our adult community sessions in Coatbridge. Having experienced homelessness, setbacks and challenges, he has rarely left the Coatbridge area, but always wanted to visit his team’s stadium - so we made it happen, all thanks to the generous support of our funders. After the tour, enjoyed alongside 4 other adults from the community sessions, everyone was treated to a lovely steak pie lunch.

A RELAXING SPA DAY WITH LUNCH
For another February Manorview Moment, we welcomed 15 ladies to use the beautiful spa facilities at Bowfield Hotel & Spa, followed by lunch. The group of ladies came to us via a new partner, Women’s Aid. Many women supported by this amazing organisation flee domestic abuse with next to nothing - facing hardship as they work to rebuild their lives safely. So we were pleased to be able to support them with much deserved day of rest.
FAMILY TRIPS TO EDINBURGH ZOO
We were pleased to issue family tickets to Edinburgh Zoo to 11 families in need, to enjoy a great wee day out!
ESSENTIAL HYGIENE BOXES
When money is tight, affording essentials like food and toiletries can be difficult. So we recently launched, thanks to funding from a Coatbridge grant, our Manorview Foundation hygiene boxes - containing laundry products and personal hygiene goods for the whole family. So far 60 have been distributed, with more to come in coming months.
COMMUNITY SESSIONS
We had 316 visits to our free community sessions in February.
EMPLOYMENT TASTERS & MENTORING
10 young people visited Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone to get a flavour of working in the hospitality sector. This is part of Manorview Pathways, where we encourage employment skills and deliver mentoring. 4 mentoring sessions for young people in high school were also delivered in February, with young people we connected with via MCR Pathways.
Thanks once again to funders, partners and volunteers for helping February activity happen! We are eternally grateful for your support.
